The key thing to remember is that lingerie is a romantic present showing that your heart is in the right place. Most women like to receive it and most men do not buy it.
By getting this far, you are demonstrating well-above average romance and courage.

This is a bit more judgmental. Choose a style you think she will like. Base the guess on her style of dressing. Suspender belts won’t work if she never wears skirts.
If you do get the style wrong, try to use the occasion to find out what she really likes. Remember, she can always exchange the goods.

Lingerie comes in four colours - white, black, skin tone and seasonal fashion shades. Generally, white bras are worn to work, black bras in the evening and skin tone under fitted or see-through tops as it’s the most invisible colour.
Fashion colours are normally chosen for special occasions or just for fun. If you see a colour that she really likes, then you can buy that. If at all in doubt, buy black.

This is a bit simpler as briefs (and suspenders) mostly come in Small, Medium and Large - marked S, M or L on the product label in the back. This is fairly intuitive, but it is best to check this one as well.
If you really do not know and can’t check, do not buy L.

Tricky with lots of different sizes. However while your partner is in the shower look inside the back of one of her bras. Choose one she likes and wears a lot. Inside will be a size label consisting of two numbers – typically 32,34,36 etc and one or two letters – AA,B,C, D,DD etc. Write this number down.
If the thought of being caught browsing through her lingerie drawer put you off there is another easier method which surprisingly works quite well. Think of her bust as a piece of fruit. The equivalent fruit size matches the cup size you should buy:
|
Fruit |
Cup Size |
|
Lemon |
A Cup |
|
Orange |
B Cup |
|
Grapefruit |
C Cup |
|
Melon |
D Cup |
The underbust size will most likely be her clothing size, ie the size she would buy a T-Shirt.

In buying lingerie you have to get two things right- size and colour. It sounds difficult, but isn’t really.
Tip - Don’t try to estimate her size – it really doesn’t work.
Tip - Not everybody likes highly coloured lingerie. But if you like it and want to buy it, go ahead. If it’s not to her taste, then she can exchange it so it is fairly low risk.
